Flesch Reading Ease on Word To set up Readability Statistics in Word, do the following. 1. Click on Tools (top menu bar). 2. Click on Options. 3. Open Spelling and Grammar. 4. Tick Show Readability Statistics. 5. Click on OK. To see the statistics for an individual document, do the following. 1. Open a document. 2. Click on Tools. 3. Click on Spelling and Grammar. 4. The statistics will appear at the end of the grammar checker functions.
Flesch Reading Ease on Word To set up Readability Statistics in Word, do the following. 1. Press the Word Button (top left of page). 2. Click Word Options (bottom right of menu). 3. Click Proofing. 4. Tick Check Grammar with Spelling 5. Tick Show Readability Statistics 6. Click on OK. To see the statistics for an individual document, do the following. 1. Open a document. 2. Click on Review. 3. Click on Spelling and Grammar. 4. The statistics will appear at the end of the grammar checker functions.
Summarising on Word 2003
To summarise a document, do the following.
1.
Click on Tools (top menu bar).
2.
Click
on Auto Summarize.
3.
In the Type of Summary area,
choose a summary type.
4.
In the Length of Summary area,
choose a summary length.
5.
Click on OK.
Summarising on Word
2007 and 2010
To set up the AutoSummary Tools functions, do the following.
1.
Click on the Office Button (top left).
2.
Click on Word Options.
3.
Click on Customize.
4.
Click on Choose Commands From in the drop-down list.
5.
Click on Commands Not In the Ribbon.
6.
Click on AutoSummary Tools. 7. Click the Add button.
8.
Click on OK.
For a summary of a document, do the following.
1.
Open a document.
2.
Click on the AutoSummary Tools icon on the Quick
3.
Click on Auto Summarize from the drop-down list. 4. In the Type of Summary area, choose a summary type.
5.
In the Length of Summary area,
choose a summary length.
6.
Click
